In October 2020, I met Yaniv Janson, an internationally acclaimed artist from Raglan in a magical chance encounter on the Auckland to Wellington train. From our very first meeting, the most beautiful Bromance began. Together, we've collaborated on a number of projects since.

Our 'A Happy Sea' Tote Bag is a collaboration with Yaniv featuring his exquisite A Happy Sea painting. At an early age, Yaniv was diagnosed with both autism and epilepsy, yet he maintains a hunger for taking control of his life through the work he loves most: spirit-lifting, world-changing art. 

People connect strongly with issues prevalent in Yaniv’s work: the problems humanity faces with global warming, affordable and warm housing and environmental sustainability. As such, Yaniv has participated in more than 40 exhibitions worldwide & sold in excess of 180 paintings. In 2018 he was personally invited to solo exhibit a collection of his breathtaking works at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. His stunning A Happy Sea painting was a feature of this exhibition.   

Yaniv eloquently describes what A Happy Sea is all about:  
.
“A happy ocean is filled with many things that are full of life, colours and shapes. You can even see happiness if you look hard enough. Everything below the ocean surface keeps changing all the time and this is a happy thing. This is how you will see the ocean once we take care of it. Sea Anemones are all kinds of colours, shapes and sizes. You will see many Sea Anemones in this painting as they should help to make us all happy. They are beautiful, they are happy and in the position they want to be in and they are colourful. This painting is to show people what they have and want – which is a healthy sea and A Happy Sea."
